FAQ
What’s your background?
I'm an environmental artist, scientist, and educator born on the Nordic Coast and raised in the Northern Heartland. I come from loggers and farmers, cooks and seamstresses, Girl Scout leaders and indigenous Sámi: lovers of all things green and magical who taught me the art of simple, seasonal living.
I’m also an award-winning instructional designer and technologist. My professional work is visible in both public and private sectors, including government administrations and corporate universities. I produced several learning and web-based training initiatives serving the Affordable Care Act, Employment and Economic Development, Housing Finance, and Preparedness and Emergency Response Centers for the State of Minnesota. I also led the learning strategy and instructional design process for two Fortune 100 corporation projects—one Global Sales Foundational Skills train-the-trainer development program and one public-facing Healthcare Product University division alignment program.
I earned my Master of Science in Learning Design and Technology from Purdue University and my Climate Reality Leader certification from former Vice President Al Gore.
